The KnowHowU Faculty
KnowHow has been fortunate
enough over the years to gather together an all-star team of near-legendary
Adobe specialists that have helped to shape the very direction of Adobe products
and their innovative implementation for high profile companies throughout the
United States and Canada. Firmly established in the community of
professional Adobe users, the KnowHowU faculty, a division of HighSoft, has worked closely with Adobe's
product developers and engineers and have participated as beta testers, trusted
advisors, and even as resource personnel for Adobe themselves. Inheritors
of the original and exclusive Frame Technology training materials and
curriculum, HighSoft has been at the forefront of Adobe Certified Training now
for over a decade. With KnowHow's technical superheroes coming to the
rescue, we mean it when we say Training Doesn't Cost - It Pays!

Meet the Instructor
Peter
Gold
Before he became a computer trainer, Peter Gold had been a photography
teacher, also running a commercial advertising studio, doing personal creative
photography, and starting a photography workshop and school. He began his
computer-training career in 1984, teaching the "great new stuff" like
WordStar, and Ashton-Tate's dBASE II, that we now think of as "great old
stuff," or maybe even, the "huh?" stuff.
He was invited to join Ashton-Tate's dBASE technical support team, and
later moved to the documentation group. Another move, to the tech pubs group at
Sybase, Inc., introduced him to FrameMaker, which was then being evaluated for
the company's main documentation tool. Though he left before they formally
adopted FrameMaker, he knew it was a great tool for the job. Deciding to resume
his training career, Peter trained himself to become a FrameMaker trainer.
Peter joined HighSoft in 1994, training and supporting customers on FrameMaker,
FrameMaker+SGML, Acrobat, InDesign, and WebWorks Publisher, on UNIX, Microsoft
Windows, and Macintosh platforms.
He is an Adobe-Certified Acrobat and FrameMaker trainer.

Testimonials
"I have taken on-line classes in the past
and they always seemed monotonous and slow. After attending KnowHow's
Illustrator class, I am reminded why a real instructor-led class is so much more
effective." - Erika Lee, Graphics Designer, San Francisco
"I particularly liked the small class
size. Our instructor Peter was extremely helpful and molded the class
around our special needs." - Citrix Systems, Provo Utah
"Alan doesn't just teach straight from the book. He adds his own personal
knowledge (i.e. shortcut keys and personal examples) and experience to the
class."
"Everything that we learned here today will be useful to me in my new job.
I have never used this software before, [but] I feel extremely comfortable
using it now."
"The best part of this course was being able to do the templates on our
own. This really reinforced the concepts that we learned in the
class."
"I thought this was one of the best instructors I've had. Peter was
genuinely interested in the material. He was also very patient and
encouraged questions."
"Donna is an excellent instructor. She is very patient and walks the
students through each lesson."
"The best part of this course was the instruction and practice our trainees
will need in the production of our publications; specifically annotation
tools, importing, and exporting."
